30 Days of Creativity: Day 8 - 'Bon(o)s(a)i(gh)'

I imagine, with all his time on the road, touring and doing all manner of humanitarian things, then having to devote much of his 'home time' to his wife and kids, that Bono would have a great deal of difficulty keeping a healthy bonsai tree.

Plus the title kinda looks Gaelic. DOUBLE CLEVER.

30 Days of Creativity: Day 7 - 'The Walking Friends'

Today's piece shows, rather surprisingly, that lame ('Friends') plus awesome ('The Walking Dead') equals EVEN MORE AWESOME...! I would totally watch this show.

30 Days of Creativity: Day 6 - 'Pin(head)ball'

My new motto is "THIS IS BULLSHIT!" (accompanied by an emphatic closed-fist-desk-bang) (<---SOUNDS RUDE). There is a lot of injustice out there: workplace bullying, corruption, favouritism, etc. (not to mention more global concerns such as poverty, starvation, illness, discrimination and so forth). From now on, any such injustice I encounter will be met with a forceful "THIS IS BULLSHIT!"

Oh, today's theme is 'Pinball'. Der.

30 Days of Creativity: Day 5 - 'Sad Cloud'

It is FUCKING FREEZING today, a fact I was reminded of as I left the cozy warmth of my home to venture outside and take this photograph. Today's stimulus, 'cloud', has been mocking me all day, as we endure our coldest day of winter yet, FIVE DAYS IN.

Also clearly depicted in today's piece is my complete lack of imagination and creativity; this is all I can muster (although I *am* working on comics today, which also counts).

I don't know if the clouds are sad, or just me, or both. Kinda works regardless. :(

30 Days of Creativity: Day 4 - 'Dog Trousers'

30 Days of Creativity: Day 3 - 'Children of the Corn'

I don't know what we were all so scared about...

30 Days of Creativity: Day 2 - 'Newman Torch'

Stimulus for Day 2: 'Fire'. fire -> flame -> FLAME ON! -> Human Torch -> human -> Newman <- Newman Torch

So, yeah...that's how my brain works.

30 Days of Creativity: Day 1 - 'Friday, I'm In Love'

It's June, which means two things: 1) Winter kicks off in the southern hemisphere, and we all get a little stabby. 2) 30 Days of Creativity takes up all of June, which helps somewhat to reduce stabbiness levels. This year I'm using the official inspiration calendar for each day's idea. Today's stimulus is 'Friday', which inevitably brings us to a fantasy marriage of Robinson Crusoe and Man Friday, overseen by Robert Smith (obviously). Happy creating, everyone...!

The Lyrical Gangster

The soiree was progressing swimmingly. The Hostess had planned the affair immaculately, and her distinguished guests were having the loveliest of evenings. That is, until Mr Kamoze, the lyrical gangster, sauntered in, typically bold; unapologetically late. The Hostess bristled noticeably, barely able to contain her hostility. As Kamoze and his entourage strode toward her, the Hostess muttered contemptuously, "Here comes the Hotstepper..."
